Community HousingWorks will celebrate it successes at our 3rd Annual Dreambuilder Gala. This year’s theme is the Roaring Twenties and will include cocktails, big band music, mug shot caricatures and delicious dinner. We will also off prize packages with the goal of raising funds to support our life changing housing and services.

Dreambuilder 2006
Our Annual Dreambuilder Event honors our industry partners and staff who make homeownership possible for hundreds of first-time homebuyers each year. Dreambuilder plays host to a different theme each year and is held in San Diego.

VALOR 2005
Our Annual Scholarship Fund Drive and Dinner is held every May and awards higher education scholarships to 5-10 deserving volunteers from our Learning Centers.

Fall FaceLift 2007

Location: Islenair Neighborhood near Euclid Ave. and Thorn St.
City Heights Community, San Diego
FaceLift is a spruce-up-a-block-in-a-day event that is accomplished through the help of community volunteers, neighborhood associations, and local business leaders. Each year, the locally-based FaceLift Committee selects a one block radius in the City Heights area to receive a makeover during our one-day event held in June. FaceLift gives priority to senior citizens, disabled persons and low-income families that need assistance to make improvements to their homes.
Fall FaceLift 2006

Location: City Heights, San Diego
FaceLift is a spruce-up-a-block-in-a-day event that is accomplished through the help of community volunteers, neighborhood associations, and local business leaders. Each year, the locally-based FaceLift Committee selects a one block radius in the City Heights area to receive a makeover during our one-day event held in June. FaceLift gives priority to senior citizens, disabled persons and low-income families that need assistance to make improvements to their homes. Our ten previous FaceLift days have mobilized over 3,400 volunteers to paint 293 homes and haul away over 300 tons of trash in City Heights communities since 1995!

FaceLift 2005
FaceLift is our annual spruce-up-a-block-in-a-day-event held on a Saturday in June. Hundreds of volunteers team up with local businesses and organizations to paint the exteriors of 10-15 homes in the City Heights neighborhood.
