Urban revitalization of San Diego neighborhoods accomplished by volunteerism, neighborhood participation, generous donations, and lots of good, old elbow grease.
Bring your friends, your work clothes, and lots of energy, and be ready for the best time you ever had working hard. Lunch and refreshments provided.
There are four ways to donate: 1) money, 2) goods, 3) sponsoring a home, and of course, 4) donating your time. See the Volunteer section for information about what you can do before and at an event. Goods may include tools, paint or building supplies, food or beverages for volunteers, plants for landscaping, office supplies for registration and management, vehicles for hauling refuse and materials, or services, such as professional construction, recordkeeping, or catering. A very personal way to donate is for your organization to raise funds and work parties to dedicate to a particular home. To donate now, contact the Project Manager (gizmopennington at cox dot net).
Your San Diego neighbors and the FaceLift project need eager painters, planters, cleaners, scrubbers, and picker-uppers. Your energy and enthusiasm can make a difference. You get the pleasure of working with a fun team and seeing your hard work have immediate results to homes and neighborhoods.
Download the waiver and bring it in when you register,
or fill it out at the registration desk. Volunteers under the age of
18 will need the signature of a parent or guardian.
