Leadership Programs
Community HousingWorks offers several leadership training programs. The Neighborhood Civic Leadership Program (NCLP) is an eight-session program that provides tools and information to foster relationship building in neighborhoods and with those working with new and established immigrant refugee groups. NCLP promotes civic participation and helps participants be effective change agents and achieve the goals of their groups. City governments also send their staff to attend NCLP so they can learn how to work with the city’s low-income constituents.
The Neighborhood Civic Leadership Program is offered in select communities. When a cycle is available, we will post the information on our website.
Community HousingWorks also offers courses from its grassroots Leadership Academy, in English and Spanish, as arranged. For more information contact Carmen Amigon, camigon@chworks.org, (760) 432-6878, ext. 5455.
