Learning Centers
Available at 14 CHW apartment complexes, our Learning Centers offer a number of programs and resources such as:
- The Learning Communities program
- Computer & Information Centers with internet access
- Junior Leaders Volunteer program
- VALOR Scholarship Program
- Adult Education including topics such as ESL and nutrition
The Learning Communities program offers tutoring, schoolwork assistance, computer instruction and supervised internet access within our complexes. The Junior Leaders program involves middle and high school students in mentoring the youth that attend the Learning Communities. By combining homework support with mentoring and volunteer opportunities, the Learning Communities program ensures these youth will move up and out of affordable housing and onto future success.
