Patti Hamic-Christensen

Resident Services Director
Patti Hamic-Christensen has been department director at Community HousingWorks for over seven years bringing over a decade of social service delivery and management experience in North County nonprofits, as well as eight years of supervisory experience.

Patti was on the San Diego Housing Federation Board for three years.  During that time she has worked on the annual conference committee, the executive director search committee, co-chaired the 2000, 2001, awards event, and is the chair of the 2002 awards event.  Patti is currently the designated representative of the San Diego Housing Federation to the San Diego County HIV Housing Committee.  Patti is on the Regional Continuum of Care Coordinating Council for the HUD-SHP NOFA process and has participated in this group for over eight years.

The Resident Services Department is responsible for the development, implementation and management of all service-enriched programs and functions directed to residents in our transitional and affordable housing complexes.  Ms. Hamic-Christensen’s department consists of ten project mangers and/or resident service coordinators who carry out day-to-day program responsibilities.  In the last year her department added Internet connection within the eleven Learning Communities Centers and opened two new centers.  Her department consists of fourteen project mangers and/or resident service coordinators who carry out day-to-day program responsibilities.  In the last year the department opened two new Learning Communities centers.  The department has also implemented the Leadership Academy, the Neighborhood Civic Leadership Training Program, a Micro Enterprise Training program and a comprehensive training program for all resident leaders living in our complexes.  She holds a Masters in Human Development from Pacific Oaks College and a Marriage, Family, and Child Therapist License from the State of California.
