Anne B. Wilson

Housing & Real Estate Development Director
Anne Wilson has 25 years of experience in affordable housing finance, development, community development, and urban redevelopment.  Ms. Wilson is the Director of Housing and Real Estate Development for Community HousingWorks, a nonprofit affordable housing development corporation which owns and operates over 850 apartments and is currently building an additional 300 units throughout San Diego County.

From 2000-2001, Ms. Wilson was responsible for opening a San Diego Program for the Corporation for Supportive Housing, a national nonprofit intermediary organization whose mission is to develop affordable permanent independent housing linked to supportive services for people living with chronic special needs. In 1998/99, Ms Wilson served as a Vice President at Price Charities working on the City Heights Village.  From 1991 to 1998, Ms. Wilson was the founding director of the San Diego Program of the Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) where she worked to build a nonprofit affordable housing industry in San Diego and Southern California.  Under her leadership, San Diego LISC invested over $35 million in affordable rental housing and other community real estate development.  From 1985 through 1990, Ms. Wilson worked in Boston, Massachusetts at the Boston Redevelopment Authority, the City of Boston’s Neighborhood Development Division where she managed development on public lands and the investment of public funds.  From 1979-85, she worked as a Policy Analyst for the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and in the Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program at Boston City Hospital.

Ms. Wilson has a Master’s Degree in City Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Boston.  Ms. Wilson has served Fellowships at MIT’s Center for Real Estate Development and with the Eureka Foundation in San Diego. She has been an instructor of the graduate seminar on Housing Policy at San Diego State University. She also operates Meridian Development Associates, a consulting practice that provides assistance to nonprofit and for-profit housing developers and public agencies. Anne was born and raised in New York City and White Plains, New York.
